One of the most common reasons mental health professionals are disciplined or lose their license to practice involves ethical and boundary violations. For that reason the 491 Board has mandated that all licensees attend a three-hour course on ethics and boundary violations starting with the 2005-2007 biennium. See current options for Ethics workshops below: Workshop on Ethics, Boundaries and Avoiding Liability Issues, and Workshop on Ethics, Boundaries and Avoiding Liability Issues For Domestic Violence Programs and BIP Centers.
